PECKHAM LEVELS
Our beloved local. Levels has been a hot hit ever since opening a year ago. Think of it as Pop Brixton’s younger, cooler brother with more, well, levels - 7 actually . Imagine being able to leave a bad date and check out the talent on another floor - score! Based in a converted car park, the real party is on level 6 where you can find bars surrounded by street food vendors, a vegan cafe and even a live music venue Ghost Notes.
PECKHAM SPRINGS
Just around the corner from Peckham Rye Station, this cute outdoor bar offers the perfect chill vibe for a first date. It may be south but it’s definitely got an east London warehouse feel to it. Also, if you get peckish and you want an excuse to continue the date, you can hop next door to Bar Story to share a pizza!
NORTHCOTE RECORDS
Based on Northcote Road, this is one of our favourites. It has live music (with a different band every night of the week!), cocktails and the best pizza if you get hungry… (the four cheese is our favourite) what more could you want? The live music is a good conversation distraction and it also sets the right chilled atmosphere without being too overly romantic.

HOPE & ANCHOR
Based in Brixton, this cute little bar has a beer garden full of fairy lights to dream of! If you’re a gin drinker (isn’t everyone these days?) there’s a fair share of cocktails to have you handled! It’s only a short walk down the road to more Brixton bars if you want to carry on the night...

In Clapham Old Town, for the more sophisticated sluts amongst us (hehe), this cute bar with a rooftop and fireplace is the perfect setting all year round for a cosy weekday drink. The weekends will be heaving so you might want to only venture there on a weekend if you’re actually scouting talent rather then taking your dates there.
And… if you get further down the dating line, this is a perfect spot for a Sunday roast! Or you could also head over to the Sun next door. Spoilt for choice.

THE FOUR THIEVES
Every guy’s dream place - a pub kitted out with arcade games! You can race your date to the driving finish line, kill zombies in a VR headset, practice your swing on crazy golf, and get lost in an escape room. Guaranteed a good date every time and believe us here at AFD we have tried this place multiple times!
THE SHIP
Based in Wandsworth by Clapham, we’ve added this is as more of a pick up spot as it’s heaving with men, especially in the summertime. So much so that there’s sometimes a queue down the road! If you like rugby players, Australian men, South African men, or just men in general, then head here!
